Sound Off

In order for me to put up a post without doing much work, I now present this link to a story about building a new motocross track in Washington State. It's not easy to do nowadays.

Matthes go put together another podcast or somthing. This is important stuff. I live here in Washington and I know all about the shortage of places to ride. These guys are working hard to put together a 1st class riding facility. The old track in Monroe was where RV1, honed his skills. This was a Front page story here locally. I know its not fun to talk about like....... whos gear looks the coolest.

Big Picture matthes Big Picture!

Does anyone care about disapearing riding spots????

Sorry Mike D...as a former resident of Astoria OR (7 months) I should be cooler about the whole deal. I used to ride at mountain view, albany and some sand shit-hole around there.

I just want to leave this kind of stuff for the real important people in the industry. DC, EJ, Cudby, Kit Palmer....now THOSE dudes have some HP. Weege is like me--just some clowns that write funny stuff.

This is what I want from my Weege--daily updates about the sport of mx in a humorous form. I want a J-Law joke, I want an energy drink joke and something good said about Ferry. Thats it.

Hey Matthes,

I am trying to get caught up on DMXS radio and just listened to your interview from 2 weeks ago. Good stuff. I wanted to comment on how you said Davey told you that you should lay off giving mad props to Ferry for a while. I get the same sort of thing from my wife. I often talk about my "top 4" meaning the 4 best friends I've had most of my life, and still have. My wife tells me constantly I "might have to find new friends some day." I figure why bother. I haven't really moved away from them yet, if I do THEN I will find new friends. Until then... same top 4. So you and Ferry rock on!

Good to hear some concern about land use issues. Not only have the tree huggers shut down Most of the good riding here in Illinois but they have also slowed the developement of any new riding areas. Look these people are the reason we are paying $5 for a gallon of gas because not only can u not build a mx track but u can't drill an oil well or build a refinery. It's time to get concerened about this stuff, I know it is easier to live in our little cave a pretend it's not happening but it time to grow up an take on some adult issues.... and by the way I wonder how many tree huggers you can bury in a big table top jump:-)

Around 200 tree huggers covered with about 200 yards of dirt makes the perfect third gear table top. The ratio is right at 50/50.

Matthes, since we are making requests, I would like at least one Larry Huffman type similies on the broadcast from weege.

I don't mean to hi-jack Weege's blog but.....I'm going to hi-jack his blog.

Daniel, what DC meant was that people will get tired of me always talking about the big one five and I understand. I get emails from people all the time telling me to stop swinging from his nuts and other suggestions where to stick my love for Ol'Red. If you think my written stuff is overboard, try hanging out with me for a while. Ask Weege how many Summercross, Budds Creek 1st moto '03 references a man can take.

So I understand DC and I think I'm doing well, but I have to admit I'm going to break down and have him on podcast asap. It's just time. Plus seriously, ask Weege sometime, he's a refreshing breeze of cool-ness in an increasing hurricane of riders being idiots and having huge egos and entourages. He's just a normal dude and a nice guy (funny also, kinda handsome as well.....ok..I'll stop)

Mike D--You gotta fight for your right....to riiiiiiide!! I seriously thought you just misspelt similarities or something until I worked the Google on my internet machine to find out what similies meant.
Check out the big brain on Mike D.

My plan has worked brilliantly! I put up a post that requires two sentences of writing and then just let Matthes do the rest. This is easy!

It is great to see a new track springing up, but the opposition it is facing is terrible. Towns need to realize the BENEFEIT that motocross can bring to their towns. I posted a blog entry up on my blog containing all of my thoughts regarding this issue: Check it out here.
