Monster Energy Supercross Champ Reed to Throw out First Pitch at Angels Game
AURORA, Ill. (July 9, 2008) – To commemorate Chad Reed’s 2008 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, and to help kick off the ticket on-sale of 2009 Monster Energy® Supercross season, Chad Reed will throw out the honorary first pitch before the Angels and Indians game at Angel Stadium July 22.
“Angel Stadium is a special place for me; it’s where I won my first supercross race, so I am really looking forward to this,” said Reed. “I have never been to a baseball game before. Baseball is not very popular in

The only thing that you could do would be to switch the "baseball throwing out" to "racing Supercross" and insert the "out all night getting ready to ride" comment and it sounds about right!
I bet he throws like a girl...
I seriously doubt that Reed would show up for anything unprepared. Once again a PR move that hurts more than helps!
Wouldnt that be sweet if he wore a Factory Suzuki Team shirt!
That would be an announcment!
that'd be bitchin if he came out on his steed that he will be racing the last few nat's and mxon... what better publicity than to come out on the bike?
honestly, if joe non-sx-fan was sitting in the seats, "Chad Reed 2008 AMA SX Champion" sounds about as cool as $6.50 drafts. BUT, throw him on his bike, and everyone sees and knows the deal.

Peelout,
Good point. They're going to be buying the $6.50 beers while he throws out the pitch, because no one there will care.
But if we moto types could get some footage of this momentous occasion...
see what i'm saying?!
another thing i just thought of, how many kids are going to be in the stands? those kids would rather pick their noses and throw popcorn than watch the inaugural first pitch by some Reed guy.
however, once those kids see a dirtbike, Chad Reed becomes one BAD dude and they start begging ma and pa for tickets to the next supercross race.
win win situation really.
that or have him show up trashed like this guy...

Peelout719,
LOL on the video and I think you should be the new head of PR for the sport!
I hope they have a baby wipe ready just in case he gets a speck of dust on his freshly manicured nails.
